Founder of Lilliput Concerts
Kate Skeet is a Cheltenham based viola player & violinist and mum to one small boy. She founded Lilliput Concerts in 2013 when she realised that no-one else was going to make it easy for her to go to or perform in her beloved classical concerts with a baby in tow! Now that her son is a bit bigger, Kate divides her time between playing baroque music on various stringed instruments, providing background music for weddings and functions as part of a string quartet, teaching violin in various local schools, and dreaming up other projects to help as many people as possible join her in her love of classical music. As the host of the Cheltenham Lilliput Concerts, she loves inviting her professional colleagues from all over the country to perform for the uniquely open-minded (and honest) Lilliput audiences.
Lilliput Concerts expanded into Bristol In January 2015 with concerts run by Jenna Brown.
